Amanda strives to provide families with compassionate support as they navigate the perinatal period and beyond.

As both a mother and a professional, Amanda combines her passion and expertise in her roles as a childbirth educator, mindfulness-based parenting teacher, child development practitioner and perinatal mental health specialist.

Amanda offers a custom 5-session psychoeducational program designed for you to develop a range of skills to support you (and your partner) in the birth of your baby.

First Responders, Frontline Workers, Helping Professionals & their Partners

Amanda offers Critical Incident Stress Management, mental health consultancy, training, policy development and in house psychotherapist services to First Responder organizations.

The call to serve your community and take care of those who are sick or in crisis can be incredibly rewarding. But working in high-pressure, volatile environments can also lead to living on high alert, feelings of disconnection, exhaustion, and resentment.

You may be experiencing intrusive thoughts or memories. You may find yourself avoiding certain people or triggering places.

Having worked as a front line child protection worker within a multi-agency team for many years, Amanda understands what it is like to feel passionate about undertaking meaningful work, while managing the stress that comes with the territory.

We can learn to mitigate the stress by developing tools and tactics to process trauma, build resilience, and remain connected to our sense of purpose. Amanda can help you find balance, so that you can continue to serve your community and make an important difference in the lives of others.

Proactive mental health and wellness screenings

Annual, quarterly, monthly or post critical incident screenings and check-ins are available to provide an important opportunity to reflect on your mental health, resilience and any challenges or changes that you may be experiencing. This service is confidential and will screen for common occupational stress related injuries as well as provide you with an opportunity to set goals and consider what supports or tools you may benefit from engaging with or revisiting. Regular mental health and wellness screenings reduce barriers to seeking support when needed as a therapeutic relationship and referral pathways are already in place.
